Who?

As of 2024, Dulles AI/ML Club and Robotics Club partnered to create RoboRush,

an outreach program where members mentor elementary students at the DES Coding Club.

What?

Volunteers teach robotics (EV3 Mindstorms), Scratch coding, and AI fundamentals through a guided curriculum. In the Spring, we host a competition for the kids to apply what they learned: an exciting, team-based robot race on an obstacle course with points for each checkpoint completed. The competition takes place at the End-of-Year Social, with fun, food, and prizes!

Why?

This is an exciting opportunity to earn YES/MSA volunteer hours and

gain experience teaching 50+ kids! It's a chance for volunteers to share their passion for technology, inspire younger coders, and build leadership and teaching skills along the way.
